Pork

SPCA Certified pork comes from pigs raised in comfortable, enriched environments with lots of foraging material that encourages the pigs to perform natural behaviours such as foraging in the straw. SPCA Certified standards include free farmed and free range systems that meet the needs of the pigs, and promote positive experiences. Free range pigs are born and raised solely outdoors, whilst pigs farmed in a free farmed systems are born in outdoor huts with their mother and their siblings, and once weaned are raised in straw-filled open-ended barns.

We are working with a local piggery, and hope to have SPCA Certified pork products available in supermarkets soon. Watch this space.
